Hi. If you haven’t read part one, please go give it a read and meet me back here. If you have read yesterday’s post, we were talking about some of my favorite fragrances that I keep in rotation.
Up next is a dupe for Angels’ Share by Kilian. The first time I smelled this scent in person was at Nordstrom in Charlotte and I stumbled upon a woman and her husband looking for a new fragrance. Unfortunately, the salesperson wasn’t very helpful to them, and I was able to explain the scent, the history of the brand, and ended up selling the $230 bottle.
Let’s start with a small history lesson. Kilian decided to get into the perfume business 15 years ago after wanting to create a signature scent that reminded him of his honeymoon. That was how his scent Moonlight in Heaven came to life. Kilian’s brand is known for its perfume families with names such as “The Fresh”, The Smokes”, and “The Narcotics” which houses the wildly popular ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’. Angels’ Share is a part of the “The Liquors” collection which is where this history lesson becomes good. Kilian’s full name is Kilian Hennessey (can you see where this going). Kilian is a descendant of the family who created the popular cognac, Hennessey. If you are like me and feel that half the fun of having a fragrance collection is displaying the bottles, take a look at the packaging of Angels’ Share. Look familiar?

Having said that, I don’t own a bottle of Angels’ Share but I was able to find a remarkable dupe for it called Heavens Speak by Oakcha. Again, if I can find a dupe that smells close or identical to the real thing, it’s mine. Heavens Speak was $30 and has amazing scent longevity. I also recently purchased another Kilian dupe from the site called ‘Sweet Addict’. Sweet Addict is a dupe of ‘Love by Kilian-Love, Don’t Be Shy’. I’ll have to tell you more about it after wearing it a little longer.
Another scent that gets me the infamous “what are you wearing” compliment is Very Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. This is priced around $80 which is much MUCH more reasonable than most of the perfumes I tend to fall for. This is one of the sexiest, clean scents I’ve ever tried. Last blog we discussed Baccarat Rouge 540 which is known as a “the smell of a rich person” fragrance in the perfume community and Very Good Girl is described as a “seductive and mischievous” fragrance. I would 1000 percent agree if I had to describe the fragrance and brand. I mean really, just look at the packaging.

I could continue for hours speaking about perfumes, dupes, and even monthly perfume subscriptions but for the sake of time I want to highlight one more favorite.
I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t speak about Donna Born In Roma by Valentino. The bottle alone gives a luxurious flair guaranteed to elevate your collection. The scent is cashmere meets vanilla with a subtle hint of florals and it’s a perfect mixture for people like me who love more musk and less floral in my perfumes. Needless to say, I was excited on Christmas morning when Santa included a small purse version of the scent in my stocking.
Okay, hopefully you have found a few new perfumes to give a try the next time you are at your favorite department store. Or at the very least you know a little more about the hype of certain viral brands mentioned in the past two blogs. I want to leave you with my FAVORITE perfume hack that cost as low as 3 or 4 dollars, and you may already have some lying around in your home. To extend the staying power of your favorite fragrance, rub a small amount of Vasoline or petroleum jelly to your skin at the areas you want to apply perfume. The perfume will adhere to the Vasoline causing the scent to stay longer. Also, I’ve found that Aquaphor body spray does an amazing job at this too. I’ll leave a link to the product on Amazon here if you want to check it out.
I love finding out about new scents. Please feel free to leave some of your favorites below in the comment box.

Learning the history of that perfume was so cool! I never would have guessed there was a connection between the perfume & the liquor, i just would’ve assumed it was a coincidence. My favorite scents are Fenty Eau se Parfum & Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi. I also just ordered a sample of a new perfume I saw on TikTok that I’m excited to try!! Loved this post!
