Do Good, Be Good

When I first started The Paperless Plannery, I was very nervous. I have always been a creative person, and I have always loved a good craft and project, so the nerves weren’t from IF I could, they were from WHEN I DO. WHEN I start a digital products business, will I lose friends? WHEN I start a digital products business, will I run out of ideas? WHEN I start a digital products business, will I become something I never wanted to be?

Anyone can create, upload, and sell products. All it takes are a few programs, some creativity, and a little bit of graphic design knowledge. Most importantly, it takes integrity. It takes a skill set to be honest, fair, and be good. Now, before you think I am taking this on a different path, keep reading—it will make sense.

When I say “be good” I mean make good choices. When I say “be good” I mean always maintain integrity, even when integrity doesn’t feel reciprocated. When I say “be good” I mean always treat people how you would want to be treated, even if it doesn’t feel reciprocated.

When I started my business, I went and got a tattoo. It’s not an iPad or pencil, it’s not a cute sticker, or a business logo. My tattoo, on my right shoulder, says four simple words “Do Good, Be Good”. Every time I look in the mirror, I see it. It is a permanent physical sticker and mantra to help me remember to do good work and be a good person. I have no plans to stop either anytime soon.

In case the person reading this feels like they need similar inspiration, I have included a free PNG sticker for you to use 🙂 Thanks for reading and Happy Planning!
